Senior Associate – Conservation Architect (London)

Francesca is a qualified and experienced Conservation Architect and has over twelve years experience working for Heritage Architecture Ltd. She originally joined the main office in London in 2005 and played a substantial role in the opening and organisation of the office in Manchester, as well as a small office in Rome, Italy.
She now leads the London Office and is responsible for managing all staff members, bids and projects, from initialisation to completion, ensuring that targets and budgets are met. As Senior Associate Conservation Architect, Francesca provides specialist advice on a wide range of architectural, townscape and conservation issues. These include pre-applications and preparation of planning applications for developments, as well as developing detailed proposals that affect heritage assets, settings and conservation areas.
Francesca’s experience includes designing, planning and negotiating conservation programs, managing multiple projects and working with multi-disciplinary teams. She has contributed to other advisory and consultancy work in connection with substantial urban regeneration projects across the country providing environmental impact appraisals and heritage impact statements involving historic assets of all types.
Francesca has also developed extensive experience of the planning process, having secured considerable numbers of consents for complex sites and supporting Stephen Levrant in a number of planning appeals, public enquiries and CPOs around the country.
Francesca obtained her Architecture degree and specialised MSc course in Urban Planning in Developing Countries (spec. Cultural Heritage). Her main previous experiences included studies of the WHS of Valparaiso (Chile) and the Valley of Kathmandu (Nepal) for UNESCO.
