Architecture & Surveying

Our in-house team of conservation architects and surveyors follow an approach that is centred around the SPAB principles of conservation and repair. All projects are undertaken with a discerning eye for detail and, in the case of conservation architecture, with the intention of achieving historical accuracy. This fastidious approach is maintained throughout the RIBA stages from conception to delivery and ensuring that the on-site workmanship retains the highest standard of design quality required when conserving and repairing historic buildings.

In instances where conserving or repairing existing fabric is not desirable or possible, we endeavour to design new build architecture that not only sits comfortably amongst the old but to design buildings that offer a positive contribution and that enhance the historic environment.

In all cases, our team bring expert knowledge and understanding of historic design, decoration and methods of construction.
